His brother plays with Marine and they have just lost a full back for the rest of the season with a knee injury.

If this is correct they'll get him just in time for a suspension, after his recent sending off.

When I read last week that Marine had put in 7 days for him I thought he'd be gone.

Not sure that we'll miss him as I think he struggled to impress at this level.

His set pieces were good but his lack of pace always let him down and he was frightened to tackle.....plus I got fed up with him always hoofing the ball upfield when there was plenty of time and space to run with the ball or pick a pass..

No real loss tbh.

To be fair he was always going to struggle in most of our eyes, taking over from someone like Dave Elsey.
Consider the differences.
He didn't wind up the opposing players , supporters or the ref or take lethal free kicks.
He didn't steal yards on throw ins or pass quite so accurately.

Many have spoken about our defensive problems down the left...now we've got even more!!
At the end of the day, though,Thommo managed to sign a replacement for Elsey who had experience at a good standard...Will Moggy be able to do likewise?

Jeffries,Mapstone, and now Stanley(not to mention Scott's upcoming suspension)...we're getting very short staffed @ at the back.

We are very short in midfield as well as at the back. Hopefully Moggy can get some bodies in as we are now playing twice a week until the end of the season and it will take its toll even without the inevitable suspensions and injuries.
