FA Trophy

Postby London Calling on Mon Oct 19, 2009 3:23 pm

We have been drawn at home to Carshalton Athletic who play in the Rymans League Premier Division. Carshalton is on the edge of London between Sutton and Croydon, I used to travel through it on the way to work.
Think it will be a tough game but if we play like on Saturday who knows.

Think u'll find we've drawn Hungerford Town at home in the next round,at least its a team from our own division so must have a chance being at home. Also good luck to the lads tonite though would settle for a point against an in form team like Paulton.

Yes it's a home tie v Hungeford.

Carshalton was 2 years ago and they thumped us 3-0. I expect L.C. has googled it and some out of date info has come up.

A very winnable tie , if we play as we know we can ! Full fixture list here........ http://www.thefa.com/TheFACup/FACompeti ... tures.aspx

Sorry about that!
That's really weird, I got the info from the FA site. I guess the link took me to an old fixture list.
Whoever it's against it looks as if we will still have Joe White and also Adie Adams for that fixture.

Great draw, definitely winnable. Lets continue the consistency of the last 2 performances into the game against Andover, hope that the 3 points follow and go into the Trophy tie brimming with confidence and the prospect of the relative "holy grail" of a plum home tie against a Blue Square South side, like say Weston Super Mare or Bath City, NOT Gloucester. Here's hoping.

"C'Mon Yate, C'Mon Boys" as Mik would say !!

Up the Bluebells !!!
