Mangos 1-2 Yate Town.......GX Soccer Cup

Great result.

Last minute winner scored by Beadle.

Didn't go myself due to family commitments.

Although both sides would have been much changed let's hope this result marks a change in fortune for the team.

Well done The Bluebells.

Beadle's last minute winner was a screamer from 25 yards into the top corner, and fully deserved after he had had a superb goal from a free kick disallowed in the first half, apparently for taking it before the ref blew his whistle. He also got booked for that which was incomprehensible.

We were well worth the win and created a lot of chances, and could have had the game sewn up in the first half if we had taken some of them or had a bit more luck in front of goal. The new guy on the left wing (Joe, sorry I've forgotten his surname) looked lively, gave us some much needed width and got a lot of good crosses in.

All in all a good performance and deserved victory.

Some unfamiliar names to me on the team sheet. Are they new signings or up from the reserves/youth team?

Some youth team/reserves in the squad last night and the guy on the left wing is a loan signing from Cheltenham Town.

Apparantly they've farmed out some young lads who need competetive match experience. Looks like we've landed a goodcatch there according to Rob, who was at the match last night.

Glad to see Truro were knocked out last night, 3-0 , by Bridgwater Town.

At least we won't be drawn to play down there.

We've been drawn to play Gloucester City away in the third round on Tuesday 13th January.
