Mike Whittington

He has evidently been released by Frome. I never thought we saw the best of him, especially playing out wide, but we are certainly going to need another striker when Joe White's loan finishes. Would he be worth another try?

I'd like to see him back here as I felt he had a lot more to offer.

He would add a bit of experience to the squad and is a proven goal scorer. He has electric pace and a great shot on him.

Trouble is he was a member of the squad that let the club down so badly at the end of last season. He would have to prove to Moggy that he was here to contribute and not just as a means to his own ends. We dont need any 'takers' on the playing squad, the lads we have at the moment are out there giving their best week in and week out and that's the sort of players we need to be looking at.

Personally, I always felt Whitts was a player who always gave 100% on the pitch. I don't know if he contributed to the negativity in the dressing room, but I never got that impression when chatting to him. In fact he was always one of the more approachable players in last season's squad.

If we don't sign him, someone will. I reckon the Mangos would be interested. Judging from their match last night, they need a proven goalscorer too.

Well done to Thommo for pulling in Whitts and Anny........both of whom would have done well for us this season.

I've heard Deano is available again after being released by Tivvy. Wonder if Thommo will move for him !

With Chenny, Marcus and a few others already there. If he got Deano as well, he's got his Yate team back. Just playing in different shirts

I'm very surprised Dean Griffiths didn't impress at Tiverton. I guess one goal and a suspension isn't the best return but am surprised they've let him go.
Sorry to hear that Paul Metheringham will be out for longer than expected, he's been so unlucky with injuries over the years.
Adi Adams would be a good signing who can play up front and in midfield and was very highly thought of a few seasons back at Forest Green.

According to a source a Tivy there was a nasty incident in the dressing room after the loss a Paulton in the F.A. Cup. Put it this way it was not just his pride that got hurt?

Having read the last posting I had a quick look at the Tiverton Town forum. There seem to be a lot of rumours which if they are true would explain a lot.
