I see that Nick McCootie has been released by Yate. I thought he showed the occasional flash of promise but all the times I saw him play I could never work out where he was supposed to be playing.

I thought that too.

He was in fact a striker who was often asked to play out of position but seemed to be a player who was difficult to play against and who could occasionally contribute something useful, however...................... I've a strong suspiscion that he may have been one of those players that Thommo was referring to when he talked about feeling frustrated by a number of players letting him down. Another of those players is currently in 'last chance saloon' according to the Gazette( ( Hawkins).
I hope he sorts himself out because he's a bloody useful player when he's on form.

There's a couple of others underperforming whom I shan't mention but who need to shape up pretty damned quick or ship out ( F*ck off in other words) because we aren't interested in their excuses., only in their performances. If they're not equipped for Southern League football then go to Mangotsfield, lol!
