We got the result. We have to be happy about that.
The way we struggled to beat a poor side is a worry. Obviously the appointment of their new manager, Ex-Spurs player and former Millwall manager Dave Tuttle, had an influence on their game.
We still aren't getting the ball up to our strikers quickly enough and as a result they come looking and are often out of position or are struggling to finish chances in an overcrowded box.
That said, Joe hasn't looked particularly sharp in the last few matches. He's getting regular games and has had many opportunities to score. I reckon he should be up on 8 or 9 goals scored for us by now,
A couple of players still aren't totally focussed throughout the match. several times Joe, Zane and others were giving up on balls that were worth chasing or bemoaning an incident that went against them for a minute instead of getting back in position and helping out.Not to mention the number of times Joe gets caught offside.
On the plus side Callum Stewart showed great strength, determination and tenacity to produce a goal from nothing, and our first goal from Reynolds came at the end of one of the best grass level passing moves of the season, with a sublime through ball from Duggan to White which was instantly fired across the box into the path of the oncoming Reynolds. If we can produce that same sort of instinctive , flowing, passing football regularly we would rip teams like Bracknell, and others, apart for fun.
